Help with remote learning28 January 2021 (by admin) |
We keep saying "do what you can, when you can" and it is important that you do not feel pressure from school.
Teachers are keen for children to share learning on ClassDojo, so that they can talk to children, praise their learning and offer help as needed. We do send activities that can be done without devices as we do not want children to sit in front of screens all day. Some of the things already shared on ClassDojo are brilliant and we love to see the inventive things children are doing at home.
We do know that the remote learning offer has some emphasis on the internet, and that children need to access the internet to share their work on portfolios. We may be able to help those who have difficulty accessing the internet:
Offer 1 - Router
If you have no wi-fi, we can apply to the Government for a router for your family.
Offer 2 - Data
If you have no data, or not enough data, on your phone and you use it to access ClassDojo we can apply to your provider to ask for more data during lockdown. You will need to tell us the name in which the phone is set up, the phone number, the provider (such as O2 or EE) and the type of contract (monthly or pay as you go).
Offer 3 - Devices
If you are struggling with devices, we have some laptops and a small number of iPads that we could offer on loan.
Please email info@drighlingtonprimary.org.uk if you would like us to consider your request for any of the above offers.
Also, if you have a laptop or IPad you do not need, please let us know. We would put it to good use.
