VE Day28 April 2020 (by admin) |
VE Day Celebrations can still go ahead!
Although this is not going to happen in school as we planned, we would like you all to help us celebrate the VE Day 75th Anniversary!
On the 1st of May, we invite all children to begin researching into why VE day is an important day to remember. This can be recorded in any creative way such as a poster, displayed in the window by a rainbow, a drawing, a poem, etc.
On the 8th May, you could celebrate the event.
Ideas to help you celebrate VE Day 75th Anniversary on the 8th May!
- Decorate your house with Red, White and Blue, bunting, banners, flags etc
- Dress in Red, White and Blue
- Make VE day posters to display as a mark of respect
- Record yourself singing a wartime song or delivering Winston Churchill’s Victory speech.
- On 8th May have a tea party with your family!
- Write and illustrate recipes for what you will have at your tea party.
- Write and decorate menus or invitations for your tea party.
However you choose to celebrate and remember, have fun doing it!
